From June 12 to June 30, 2023, second-year students of the 242 Tourism and Recreation specialty underwent professional practical training at Synevyr National Nature Park. During the practical training, Bachelor students:
examined the structure and departments of the practical base, learned about the specific nature and key areas of its activities;
reproduced in memory the list of functional responsibilities of a modern tourist specialist; gained experience in walking the key tourist attractions of Mizhhiria district (in particular, Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center, Synevyr Lake, Wild Lake, Shypit Waterfall, unique Hlukhania Bog, Kolochava museum and tourist sites (in particular, the open-air Old Village Museum), Mizhhiria Pass, Vilshany Reservoir, etc.

As part of the internship program, students supposed to make detailed tourist and recreational characteristics of the visited sites according to the particular scheme.
The supervisor of the practical training from the receiving party was Fedir Matichyn, the Head of the Recreation Department at Synevyr National Nature Park, who accompanied students at objects of interest, provided them with necessary regulatory documents and training materials, monitored the process of practice and adjusted appropriate practical settings and advice.

Mariana Pechkan, a specialist at the environmental education department, provided significant educational support from the receiving party, guiding and directing students in compliance with the basic requirements for the use of tourist and recreational potential of the particular area.

Daily practice allowed students to apply previously learned theoretical knowledge in practical conditions of the open field. To fulfill practical assignments, students applied such basic scientific research methods as analysis, description, generalization, induction, deduction, etc. In general, students proved themselves well during the practical training, leaving good memories of themselves at the visited practical base.
