What’s the mood of the Singing Field? Singing!

It is proved that the most important learning method includes a perceptive and emotional component that substantially affects the activization of human language abilities. Imagine emotions during the meeting with Kyiv park – the Singing Field! Imagine how chrysanthemums blossom!

Lecturers of the preparatory department of International European University boosted emotions as much as possible, organizing an interacting class trip to the exhibition of chrysanthemums as part of the Colored Ukraine project. Daryna Horozhankina and Tetiana Skriabina brought together an international team of curious and enthusiastic students desiring to break away the boundaries of classrooms: they are ready to learn language on the hillsides of the Dnieper River under the gentle sun of the Indian summer. By the way, our students liked this term in Ukrainian very much: they gladly added it in their glossaries. How to remember plenty of Ukrainian colors quickly and forever? Only by enjoying the variety of autumn nature. “I know that Ukraine receives roses from Ecuador,” Kevin Lopez from this South American country wondered, “But I haven’t expected that it’s worth to bring flowers from Ukraine to Ecuador. Chrysanthemums are incredible!”

Our student travelers were not just surprised, but they also surprised people around. Park visitors curiously looked at the open-air Ukrainian lesson where everyone was intrigued and active. “It feels like singing in the Singing Field,” students played on words. Why not? Let’s sing! We’ll learn language a little better and sing!
