Is it possible to change the way of thinking about wound care in one day? Indeed, if it is the day of practical training!
Our students and lecturers took part in the practical training in modern wound therapy in Kyiv on April 12. As part of 4 teams, we studied more than 50 types of contemporary dressings united into 15 groups, exercised practical skills, and worked with cases.
Our medical reality still has numerous myths:
“My wound healed better without a bandage, so I don’t need moisture”
“Ichthyol still works...”
However, modern world medicine has been moving forward for a long time, and we are doing our best to learn something new and efficient every day!
By the end of the training day, most of participants admitted that this was just the beginning of a long journey. But the first step has been taken, and it definitely deserves attention!
