The preparatory department of the University held a student forum ‘Talk to me!’ due to the European Day of Languages.
Twenty years ago, the Council of Europe 🇪🇺 made a decision to celebrate this day in order to inspire the population to learn, preserve and develop languages.
The forum was moderated by lecturers: Daryna Horozhankina, Ibrahim Badian, Iryna Deuschle, Tetiana Skriabina and Dr. Sebastian Duran from Ecuador.
Students competed in knowledge of alphabet, Ukrainian names, word and phrase composition. “Talk to me!” was heard at the classroom like in the well-known European video.
Discussing the diversity of European languages, we couldn’t help but mention Latin, one of the oldest languages of Europe. Students worldwide sing their anthem – Gaudeamus – in Latin. We also sang it in our friendly European country 🇺🇦🇪🇺, which gathers friends from the whole world.
The event was carried out in compliance with all sanitary regulations. Students and lecturers provided certificates of full/partial vaccination or certificates of recovering from COVID-19.
