The administration of International European University represented by President Alla Navolokina and Iryna Shteimiller, the Deputy Director of International Relations, took part in the USRN Staff Development Workshop 2023 in Amsterdam.
The event involved 36 participants from different countries, including 10 USRN member institutions and four guest institutions. They included representatives of Ateneo de Manila University, Rhodes University, Sichuan University, Simon Fraser University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Manchester, Tufts University, University of Haifa, University of Iceland, VU Amsterdam, International European University, Sabancı University, University Paris-Est Créteil, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
During the seminar, attendees explored and discussed the Blended Classroom Education model noted for its role in creating the inclusive learning environment. Besides, they shared ideas and experience in developing successful university social responsibility initiatives. The plenary session of the workshop was followed by four interactive parallel sessions showcasing best practices in changing higher education towards sustainability, community service learning, mentoring young students in various contexts and developing socially responsible education in cooperation with students.
The seminar was followed by the 6th USRN Executive Committee (ExCom) meeting bringing together ExCom USRN members to discuss future priorities and strategic areas of the Network.
This event was a milestone in the development of cooperation and exchange of experience between higher education institutions, contributing to the improvement of the quality of education and enhancing international relations in higher education.
