Alla Navolokina, the President of International European University, was invited to speak at the online event – the International Day of Education held on February 14, 2023, at Leeds Trinity University, UK.
The event involved the staff and students of the university. It was aimed at discussing the role of education in the world.

Speakers included Ann Beatty (CEO, The Steve Sinnott Foundation), Alla Navolokina, Dr. Ahmad Barkat (Lecturer, University of Birmingham), Renatto Oppretti (Programme Specialist, UNESCO), Yi Yang (Project Consultant, UNESCO), Valentina Sabucco (UNESCO Global Youth Community Steering Committee), Dr. KK Krishna (Director Strategy and Policy, United Nations), Breshna Yarmand (Principal, Afghan International School).

Alla Navolokina spoke about education during the war in Ukraine, the ways of ensuring the high-quality educational process in non-typical and dangerous conditions, as well as about her place in the education system and dedication to her work.

Alla Navolokina stressed that educated people are more likely to adapt to changing conditions. They are more flexible, can mobilize faster, acquire new skills, learn languages, and quickly obtain a new qualification.

“My responsibility as a Ukrainian is not to stop and create opportunities for students, lecturers and citizens of my country. Our university is initiating new programs, new projects, and doing everything possible on its front to bring the victory closer,” the IEU President summed up.
