On December 15, 2023, International European University hosted the training: Emergency care in case of burns for students of P.I. Havros Kyiv Medical College.
The event was aimed at raising participants’ awareness about providing efficient care to persons with burns and using modern methods and treatment protocols.
Attendees were able to examine a wide range of topics, including:
🔸 General principles of emergency care for burn victims.
🔸 Assessment of burn surface area in adults and children.
🔸 Assessment of burn severity.
🔸 Respiratory burn: diagnostics, prognosis and management.
🔸 General concepts of burn shock.
🔸 Stages of medical care for patients with burns according to the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 838 “On the system of combustiology care in Ukraine” dd. September 30, 2013.
🔸 First emergency aid for burn victim.
🔸 Particularities of mine-explosive trauma.
🔸 Basic principles of stopping external bleeding in combined trauma.
🔸 Contusion: diagnostics, prognosis, emergency care.
The training was held by Stanislav Halinevskyi, an experienced specialist, anesthesiologist and pediatric intensive care physician.
Due to his long-term expertise and professional competence, participants acquired not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills required to provide efficient assistance in emergencies.
