Meeting with representatives of the Embassy of Canada at IEU

International European University hosted an interesting meeting between students and representatives of the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine!

The guests included Peter Cahill, the Head of the Commercial Section of the Embassy, and Olesia Sheremok, a Specialist at the same section. The meeting focused on key issues related to the Canadian Government’s support for Ukraine, especially in the face of a full-scale invasion.

Key points of the discussion:

Canadian Government’s support for Ukraine: In recent years, Canada has been actively supporting Ukraine by providing humanitarian, financial, and military assistance. We discussed how this support is implemented in practice and what new initiatives are planned.

Priorities in the education sector: Education is one of the strategic areas of cooperation. Canada is ready to share its experience and resources to develop Ukrainian education.

Institutional partnership programs: Participants stressed the importance of establishing partnerships between universities of both countries to exchange knowledge and experience.

Research projects: Attendees discussed opportunities for joint research in various fields that can contribute to innovations and development of science in Ukraine.

Double degree programs: It is another important aspect of cooperation that opens up new horizons for students, allowing them to obtain diplomas by Canadian universities.

Opportunities for entrepreneurship: Canada is ready to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs through training, mentoring, and startup funding programs.

Participants also discussed successful examples of partnership between Canadian and Ukrainian universities, inspiring for new achievements and cooperation.
