


The Institute of Postgraduate Education of International European University extensively promotes the adoption of innovative technologies in healthcare.
The meeting of the IEU team represented by Svitlana Doan, the Vice-rector for educational and scientific work and postgraduate education, Liudmyla Zakordonets, the Head of the Department of Internal Diseases, Valentyna Velychko, the Head of the Department of General Practice – Family Medicine of Odesa National Medical University, and IEU intern Anna Bodnar took place on November 16. They met with Olena Chernenko, CEO of the Medcapitalgroup Medical System Consulting Agency, advisor on the development of two MedTech projects: CheckEye, the Ukrainian cloud-based AI screening platform, and Stethophone, the Canadian and American project.
The meeting resulted in the discussion of contemporary approaches to diabetic retinopathy screening using artificial intelligence (CheckEye).
Besides, attendees focused on the introduction of the Stethophone innovative chest sound technique for teleauscultation of patients at a distance, which can efficiently simplify diagnostics and dynamic analysis of the results.
Such initiatives indicate the significant impact of telemedicine in Ukraine.
