Oleksandr Zolotukhin held a lecture at IEU as part of the Medical Law Project!We had a great opportunity to advance our knowledge in medical law during the lecture dedicated to an extremely relevant topic: Legal Liability of a Doctor: From Medical Error to Criminal Prosecution.
Oleksandr Zolotukhin, a well-known expert in medical law, shared his experience and knowledge, examining various aspects of legal liability of healthcare professionals. The lecturer stressed the importance of proper documentation of medical procedures, ethics in medicine, and legal consequences that can arise in case of medical errors.
Participants were able to:• Explore the concept of medical errors and their legal consequences.
• Discuss examples of real cases related to medical practice.
• Determine the limits of the doctor’s liability in case of complications during treatment.
• Find out in which cases a doctor can be criminally prosecuted.
