Medical Bridge Connect International Summit: Ukraine – Malta – Modern Challenges, Joint Solutions
On June 5-6, 2025, Kyiv and Malta hosted a major international conference, Medical Bridge Connect, organized by International European University. The event brought together leading specialists from various countries, including Ukraine, Malta, Poland, and Romania, as well as medical institutions and organizations to discuss common healthcare challenges.
The conference program was rich and diverse:
Opening ceremony involving the IEU Administration and international partners Signing of an important agreement between Malta and Romania Panel discussions and presentations on artificial intelligence in medicine, public-private partnerships, medical care organization in the EUThe conference featured extremely relevant and practice-oriented presentations that aroused great interest among the audience. Attendees discussed benefits of early inclusion of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases in biologic therapy, self-monitoring in diabetes mellitus, as well as the cancer epidemic in Ukraine and potential responses.
Particular attention was drawn to the dermatoscopy section that included a workshop on diagnostics of skin tumors and basal cell carcinoma.
Leading health professionals, scientists, lecturers, and students took part in the event, sharing their experience and looking for practical ways to address global healthcare problems.The event was broadcasted from Kyiv to Malta in real time. Interns, lecturers, and doctors of the Clinical Alliance were present in the hall and joined the lively discussion of crucial medical issues.
Speakers included Oleksii Kolesnik, MD, Denys Sylenko, a dermo-oncologist, and Svitlana Diachuk, the Chief Physician at Diachuk Clinic.
