Education without barriers: how we build the future together
On April 25, 2025, International European University took part in a significant national conversation: the round table ‘Student Support Centers: Joint Solutions for Equal Opportunities’ initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The event brought together those who transform Ukrainian education day by day: government officials, rectors, academic staff, mental health experts, and, most importantly, students.
This event is not just a meeting. It is a platform for ideas, best practices, and true solutions. We discussed together how to provide each student with equal access to education, support, and resources regardless of personal challenges.
Attendees shared strong messages, sincere stories, and professional opinions. Speakers included Andrii Vitrenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Tetiana Lomakina, Advisor-Presidential Commissioner for a Barrier-Free Environment, Anastasiia Holotenko, Expert at the Coordination Center for Mental Health under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and authorized representatives of Ukrainian universities.
Student support centers are more than just a structure but a point of support.
IEU also has the Student Support Center, and we are always glad to grasp the opportunity to develop the Center. It is not just a trend but a value for us. We believe that education should be available to everyone without exception and barriers.
We express our gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for its trust and inspiration. Being a part of the Barrier-Free Education: Opening New Horizons flagship project is a great honor and responsibility.
We are moving together toward education that sees, hears, and supports everyone.
Because true power means equality of opportunities.
