Oleh Rud, a representative of International European University, took part in an important event: the Round Table on the Development of the Democratic Environment in Ukraine held on April 10 in the conference hall of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The meeting took place in a blended format, becoming a platform for presenting a major international educational project: Education for Democratic Citizenship. The project is implemented involving:

— Institute for Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine
— Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine NGO
— School of Governance NGO
— Linnaeus University (Sweden)
What is this project about?
It is an initiative aimed at:
• developing civil society in Ukraine
• supporting human rights, freedoms, and democratic values
• promoting the culture of responsible citizenship
• training civil servants, educators, and local government representatives
A special focus was on the role of education in war and post-war periods. It is not just theory but comprehensive training with real practical steps intended to implement changes in society.
The project started in December 2024 and will last for 2 years. Participation is possible only on a competitive basis with subsequent certification and practical implementation of own initiatives.
IEU is taking an active part in international programs fostering the culture of responsible leadership, training a new generation of lecturers and professionals capable of creating democratic Ukraine.
