Yurii Stepanovskyi, Associate Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, Immunology, Infectious and Rare Diseases of International European University, PhD in Medicine, took part in the International Society of Systemic Autoinflammatory Diseases Congress 2025 held in Paris, France.
This prestigious event brought together more than 600 participants from over 60 countries: leading scientists, doctors, clinicians, and researchers. It focused on the latest discoveries in systemic autoinflammatory diseases and immune dysregulation.
Key topics of the Congress:
• New approaches to diagnostics and treatment of congenital immune disorders
• The study of the genetic nature of autoinflammation: about 50% of newly discovered genes are related to these conditions
• Discussion of interferonopathies, otulinopathies, proteasomalopathies, and other rare syndromes
• Great attention was paid to VEXAS syndrome caused by the somatic mutation on the X chromosome
• Examination of challenges faced by doctors in diagnostics and treatment of such pathologies
