The surgeon and lecturer of IEU, Oleksii Lopushanskyi, conducted a series of unique seminars “Wound Healing” on August 15–17, 2025, within the framework of the “Butterflies of Hope” conference, held at the largest children’s hospice in Ukraine — City of Goodness (Chernivtsi).
The main focus of the training was pediatric palliative care. In palliative care, the priority is not complete wound healing, but effective symptom management and ensuring the quality of life for the patient.
An important message of the event was the understanding that palliative care represents a shift in paradigm: the main goal of the doctor is to improve the patient’s quality of life, not to achieve full healing at any cost.
Interestingly, during the seminars, medical professionals shared cases of successful wound healing achieved through “non-standard” approaches, which once again highlighted the importance of standardization of modern practices and the availability of innovative materials.
IEU is proud that our lecturers share their knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of modern medicine in Ukraine
