IEU hosted the HIV. AVOID RISK ZONES Conference

The event brought together experts, students, and academic staff searching for ways to address this global problem.

We highlighted the main achievements of the global scientific community in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Modern antiretroviral therapy (ART) has become a real breakthrough in the treatment of people living with HIV. It allows patients to live an ordinary life, give birth to healthy children, work, travel, and love. It is inspiring and gives hope that HIV is no longer a sentence!

Given the likelihood of emergencies for healthcare professionals and risky behavior among young people, special attention was paid to pre-exposure and post-exposure prevention. These important tools can reduce the risk of virus transmission.

Our participants were able to practice their theoretical knowledge of HIV transmission mechanisms using practical cases. It allowed us to better understand real situations that medical specialists can face in their activities.
