IEU held a class in the regulation of the right to abortion

The right to abortion: between freedom of choice and moral dilemma
International European University held an intensive class in the regulation of the right to abortion as part of the Medical Law academic discipline.
Together with students, we discussed the following:
🔹Legal trends in the regulation of the right to abortion in different countries: from ban to support for women’s rights.
🔹How religion, culture, and historical context affect the public opinion and legislation. We found unexpected parallels and contrasts between countries.
🔹The milestone case of Roe v. Wade (1973) who became a symbol of the struggle for women’s rights and Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022) that changed the game. We discussed the consequences and the new legal reality in the USA.
🔹How the topic of abortion becomes a political manipulation tool. Is morality really at the center of the debate, or is it a matter of control, ideology, and influence?
This class is about more than just regulations and laws.
It is about values, choice, and personal responsibility. And how future doctors should not only know the letter of the law but also understand the context, cultural environment, religious beliefs, etc.
IEU trains specialists who are not afraid of complicated topics.
Because only those who can analyze, discuss, and ask uncomfortable questions will be able to build a fair future.
Let’s learn how to change the world reasonably and consciously.
