IEU Academic Council Meeting: a step toward the high-quality and flexible educational process
International European University hosted the regular Academic Council Meeting dedicated to strategic issues of organizing the educational process in the 2025–2026 academic year. The discussion was constructive and fruitful: it focused on particular areas of improving the quality of education, developing academic freedom, and supporting an individual learning approach.
Key topics of the Meeting:
• Updating educational programs: participants approved the decision to adapt programs to current challenges, recommendations by Accreditation Committees, and labor market needs. Special attention will be paid to involving stakeholders and employers in the review process.
• Supporting individual educational trajectories: an online platform will be launched for choosing disciplines and developing an individual curriculum. We are going to update regulatory documents and launch a new catalog of elective specializations.
• Enhancing the practical component: all semesters will be integrated with project-oriented disciplines, while practical bases will be updated and expanded.
• Introducing basic military training: basic military training or its alternative disciplines will be introduced according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 734.
• Professional qualifications: it is planned to award professional qualifications for the first time in educational programs where they were not previously provided.
• Digitalization and quality control: we will update the e-learning system, increase course content requirements, and train lecturers in outcome assessment.
• Improving the HR policy: updating staffing tables, introducing a system of remuneration by qualification categories, as well as reviewing workload and contracts based on performance indicators (KPIs).
• Planning of classroom facilities: we will analyze the existing infrastructure and suggest ways to improve it for the needs of the new academic year.
