Excursion of preparatory department students to the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine

Students of the preparatory department of International European University visited Ukraine’s leading museum – the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine. As part of the observation excursion, future doctors dipped into the age of the foundation of local medicine. Guide’s narration took them back to the times of epidemics and wars when high professional skills and deep knowledge, wisdom and intelligence, as well as deep respect to human beings allowed specialists to rescue lives of thousands of patients.

Unique artifacts, skillfully produced genre scenes of various situations related to medical operations made students feel the atmosphere of the surgery room of professors Pirogov and Karavaiev, the laboratory of academician Zabolotnyi, the cozy room of professor Obraztsov and other prominent figures involved in medicine.

Indeed, doctor’s proficiency is an integral part of the specialized culture advancing in the system of historical knowledge.
