He has many years of clinical experience, particularly at the department of intensive care, interventional cardiology and clinical research.
He worked at San Martino University Hospital, University of Genova, Italy.
He is the head of cardiology research groups engaged in acute coronary syndrome at the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
