Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Viorel Scripcariu, MD, PhD, on being awarded the title of Doctor Honoris of International European University!

Prof. Viorel Scripcariu is the Rector of Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Iasi, Romania), a surgical oncologist, Professor of Surgery, Head of the First Oncologic Surgical Unit of the Regional Institute of Oncology, Iasi, Romania.

He has been the Rector of the University since 2016, actively developing international cooperation and promoting educational and scientific reforms. Professor has been the Vice-President of the Romanian Society of Surgery and the President since 2024. Prof. Viorel Scripcariu has extensive experience in international medical organizations, such as the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and the International Society of Surgery (ISS).

His achievements were recognized by the award of Doctor Honoris Causa by the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Moldova (2019).
