35 years ago, on April 1986, this terrible word was heard across the globe, informing the world about the big disaster of the 20th century – explosion at the 4th power unit of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Bursting out of the sarcophagus, that poison cloud caused human losses and diseases.
People became helpless before the atom failing to remain peaceful. The Chernobyl accident is a ruthless lesson showing that one shouldn’t take a careless attitude to the environment…
The Chernobyl accident will be an acute problem, an open wound and a common anxiety for us even many years later… Let’s keep these tragic days in memory so that the Chernobyl situation will never happen again! Deepest gratitude and eternal memory to Chernobyl disaster liquidators… To everyone who rescued the world from the nuclear catastrophe.
