A founding meeting between Sparrow Bioacoustics representatives and the administration, lecturers and students of International European University took place on December 7, 2023.

Yaroslav Shpak, PhD in Medicine, cardiologist and functional diagnostician, gave a lecture on bioacoustics and Stethophone advantages. Ivanna Kuzyk, a medical project manager in Ukraine, cardiologist and postgraduate student, and Mykhailo Rybalka, a data analysis manager and medical intern, answered questions and conducted the Stethophone using training.

We express our gratitude to Svitlana Doan, the Vice-rector for educational and scientific work and postgraduate education, professor and Doctor of Medical Science, for the invitation to speak and present information about new opportunities for doctors in auscultation of heart and lungs using Stethophone.

The meeting was organized with the assistance of Tetiana Horokhovska, the Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Continuous Professional Development, and Dmytro Konopolskyi, the Head of the Department of Primary Specialization (Internship).

Anna Bondar, a second-year medical intern in general practice – family medicine, will hold extra classes in bioacoustics for other medical interns and students in the future.

Yevhen Symonets, the Director of the European Medical School, PhD in Medicine and pulmonologist, stressed the special value of applying Stethophone in patients with respiratory diseases and acute respiratory viral infections, as now you can not just prescribe treatment by phone but comprehensively listen to the patient’s lungs.
