Representatives of IEU took part in the European Quality Assurance Forum 2025 — a key European event in the field of higher education quality assurance.
The European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF), organized by the European University Association (EUA), annually brings together academic leaders, quality assurance agencies, researchers, and university administrators. It is the largest platform in Europe where future standards and approaches to education quality are shaped.
In 2025, the forum focused on the theme: “QA in Times of Crisis: Ensuring Stability, Autonomy, and International Cooperation in Higher Education.” During plenary sessions and practical workshops, participants discussed how quality assurance systems help universities remain stable, innovative, and resilient amid global political, economic, and technological challenges.
For the International European University, annual participation in the forum means:
The EQAF 2025 programme included sessions on academic integrity, university autonomy, sustainable development, the integration of artificial intelligence into QA, as well as discussions on innovative approaches to internal and external quality evaluation. Special attention was given to how effective QA systems enable higher education institutions to grow even during global crises.
We express our sincere gratitude to NAQA and the Ukrainian speakers for their insightful contributions, which demonstrated to the European community the resilience and professionalism of Ukrainian higher education. For IEU, participation in such discussions is an important step in our own development and in strengthening integration into the European quality framework.
