Today is the birth day of one of Ukraine’s wisest universities – Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, which history originated from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

A symbolic fact is that our universities signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. Chernivtsi National University is a kind of wise mentor for International European University, as it was founded by Emperor Franz Joseph, and now Franz Volodymyr von Habsburg-Lothringen of the Habsburg dynasty is the President of IEU.

Your University holds a worthy position among higher schools of this country. You can be justly proud of the history of your higher education institution, nice traditions and current achievements that open new horizons and orbits. You deserve an honorable title of one of the founders of higher education of Western Ukraine.
